Family Life and Education Center Download Schedule for Spring Course Offerings There’s always something new to learn. Help your family learn and grow together with new Family and Community Education classes at The Kroc. From toddlers to seniors, there is a class that someone of ever age can benefit from. Learn new skills, refine your strengths, and enrich your life with classes on finance, computers, gardening and more. Family and Community Services The Salvation Army Family and Community Services may be able to assist you with the following services: Caregivers Support and Education Group at the Kroc Corps Community Center 1st Friday of every month from 1 to 2 p.m. Childcare and refreshments available at no cost to you. Teen Zone - Outside of these projects and "talk-back" sessions, the Teen Zone includes supervised gaming areas that provide teens with a carefree environment where they can just be kids. By using structured activities like science or Spanish projects and free-time gaming through Ping-Pong or XBOX Kinect, the Leaders in the Teen Zone seek to teach the whole person as they build relationships that will give teens the opportunity to get plugged in and feel they belong.
Kid Zone I - Drop-in child watch area that is professionally staffed for children 6 months to 6 years old. The child watch area will provide up to 2 hours of care in a safe, fun place while parents take a class, workout or attend a meeting at the Kroc Center. Parents must remain in the Kroc Center while children are in the Kid Zone.
Kid Zone II - The Kroc Center strictly enforces that any child under the age of 11 years old must be accompanied by an adult at all times in the center. While you work out or attend a class, keep you kids busy with fun structured activities including crafts, games, and activities that are appropriate for the age group. Space is very limited. Each session is a maximum of 2-hours. Adult must remain on-site. Monthly passes are available.
Adventure Zone - Our state-of-the-art game room has a lit laptop bar, wireless internet, and games that your kids know and love. There are no couch potatoes here! The Adventure Zone venue is very important to our outreach ministry for teens and pre-teens. Open to kids up to age 11 with parent supervision. The room is constantly supervised and FREE to the public!
